The BSE Sensex opened higher 115.81 points at 31,826 while the Nifty 50 opened higher by 28 points at 9855 mark.Aurobindo Pharma was top Nifty gainer trading at Rs 777.90 per share, up by 5.94% whereas UltraTech Cements was top Nifty loser trading at Rs 4289.60 per share, down by 0.95%. BSE Mid-cap index was trading at 15171 level, up by 0.43% and BSE Small-cap index was trading at 15905 level, up by 0.55%. There were 1028 advances, 369 declines and 512 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting positive sentiments floating in the market.

Aurobindo Pharma soared on the bourses as the pharma player has received USFDA final approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) to manufacture Sevelamer Carbonate Tablets, 800mg. Sevelamer Carbonate tablets is indicated for the control of serum phosphorus in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) on dialysis.
