Nifty has hit 10K mark for the first time ever at opening bell. However, market is currently off its high levels. Bank Nifty is top gainer among sectoral indices on NSE. Punjab National Bank is top gainer in the index trading at Rs 163 per share, up by 1.05%. PSU Bank stocks including Union Bank, Bank of India, PNB and Orient Bank are trading higher by over 1%.
There were 704 advances, 813 declines and 436 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting mixed sentiments floating in the market. The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 32248 up 2 points, while Nifty is trading at 9970 up 3 points. A total of 41 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 14 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
