A mild upsurge in HDFC Bank has pulled the markets to extend their gains. HDFC Bank commands a weightage of 9.3% in Nifty 50. HDFC Bank is up 0.66% at Rs 1687.70 per share in BSE.BSE Capital Goods is one of the top gaining indexes during pre-lunch hours on Tuesday. It is up by 0.92% at 17655. Larsen & Toubro is majorly contributing to the index gains and pulling it to higher levels.Tata Motors is up 0.85% at Rs 1747.00 per share.

Other stocks viz. Kalpataru Power is up 10.2% at Rs 372.85 per share, NBCC is up 2.93% at 211.0 per share, BHEL is up 3.02% at Rs 141.55 per share, Mahindra CIE Automotive is up 2.4% at Rs 241.00 per share, Suzlon Energy is up 2.12% at Rs 19.25 per share and Reliance Defence and Engineering is also trading higher by 2.27% at Rs 62.95 per share.The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 31,864 up 148 points, while Nifty is trading at 9824 up 53 points. A total of 64 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 11 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
