Telecom stocks have extended morning gains in the post-lunch hours. Reliance Communications has continued to stay on the top position in BSE Telecom index. The stock is trading at Rs 24.2 per share, up by 6.37%.Bharti Airtel Limited is trading at Rs 400.6 per share, up by Rs 15.95 per share or 4.15%. MTNL is trading at Rs 21.75 per share, up by 3.09%.
On BSE, Sensex has been outperforming the BSE Mid-cap and BSE Small-cap index.The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 31704 up 344 points, and Nifty is trading at 9761 level up by 96 points. Sensex touched its all-time high of Rs 31711 levels. Nifty also touched its life-time high of 9772 level.
The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.6% at 15030, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.47% at 15904.Some buying activity is seen in Capital Goods, Metal, Pharma, Auto, while FMCG is showing weakness on BSE.TCS, Bharti Airtel, Lupin, Wipro and Sun Pharma are among the gainers, whereas M&M, Hindustan Unilever, ITC, HDFC, Tata Steel are losing sheen on BSE.
