Nifty ended today’s trade at historic 10,000 level for the first time ever gaining 55 points, whereas BSE Sensex closed higher gaining 154 points at 32,382 level. Yes Bank was the top Nifty gainer on Wednesday’s trade.Yes Bank closed higher by 6.44% at Rs 1722 per share.BSE Mid-cap index closed higher by 0.18% at 15,339. BSE Small-cap index closed higher by 0.28% at 16.098. India VIX closed higher by 1.53% at 11.
There were 835 advances, 821 declines and 307 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting a positive undertone floating in the market.Yes Bank, IndusInd Bank, Tata Steel and Vedanta are the top Nifty gainers, whereas Axis Bank, Zee Entertainment Enterprises and Ambuja Cements are the top Nifty losers. Jaypee group stocks were on a rally on today’s trade. Jaiprakash Associates closed higher by 8.4% at Rs 29.05 per share, Jaiprakash Power Ventures closed higher by 6.4% at Rs 8.30 per share and Jaypee Infratech is up 0.21% at Rs 24.40 per share on NSE.
