Markets are steady on their gains as Reliance Industries emerges as the top Sensex gainer. BSE Oil & Gas is one of the top gaining indices on Friday. It is up 0.7% at 14012. Reliance Industries is contributing majorly to index gains. Reliance Industries is up 2.6% at Rs 1568.50 per share.
Other stocks in the index viz. Castrol India is up 1.2% at 410.30 per share, IOC is up 1.1% at Rs 378.90 and GAIL is up 0.21% at 379.60 per share and Oil India is up 0.02% at Rs 281.95 per share. The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 31,974 up 69 points, while Nifty is trading at 9898 up 25 points. A total of 58 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 11 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.24% at 15,215, while BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.26% at 16,045.Some buying activity is seen in IT, Capital Goods, Teck indices, while Metal, Power and Realty index is showing weakness on BSE.Wipro, Reliance Industries and Coal India are among the gainers, whereas Lupin, Bharti Airtel and Cipla are losing on the NSE.The INDIA VIX is down 2.9% at 10.9.
