The BSE Sensex opened higher 89 points at 32,045 while the Nifty 50 opened higher by 12 points at 9911 mark.ONGC is the top Nifty gainer trading at Rs 166.95 per share, up by 2.42% whereas Asian Paints was the top Nifty loser trading at Rs 1140.65 per share, down by 1.32%. BSE Mid-cap index was trading at 15255 level, down by 0.02% and BSE Small-cap index was trading at 16036 level, up by 0.39%.
ONGC was trading up by 1.8% at Rs 166 per share and HPCL is trading down by 3.4% at Rs 370.60 per share on the early hours of Thursday’s intra-day trade.There were 1000 advances, 438 declines and 483 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting positive sentiments floating in the market.
