Nifty FMCG index is the top loser among the sectoral indices on NSE. The index is trading at 25672 level, down by 1718 points or 6.27%. ITC is the top loser in FMCG index trading at around Rs 287 per share, down by Rs 38 points or 11.73%. ITC has 7.5% weightage in Nifty index.Other FMCG stocks like MCDowell was down by 0.99%; Dabur was down by 0.88%; GSK was down by 0.63%; Tata Global was down by 0.56%; Marico was down by 0.49%. There were 669 advances, 811 declines and 470 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting fairly negative undertone floating in the market.

The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 31902 down 171 points, while Nifty is trading at 9881 down 34 points. A total of 27 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 13 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.12% at 15215, while BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.06% at 15920.Some buying activity is seen in Capital Goods, Metal, Pharma, Auto, while Oil & Gas, Energy, Finance, Telecom are showing weakness on BSE.ACC, Bharti Airtel, Ultratech Cement, Wipro and Ambuja Cement are among the gainers, whereas ITC, GAIL,Aurobindo Pharma, Bank of Baroda and Reliance are losing sheen on NSE.The INDIA VIX is up 1.5% at 11.63.
