Markets are holding the gains as it nears to the closing hours of trade. Benchmark indices continue to outperform the benchmark indices.Bank Nifty maintained its levels above 25,000 mark gaining 222 points at 25,066 levels majorly contributed by HDFC Bank and Federal Bank.At this hour of trade Nifty PSU Bank index is the only loser among sectoral indices on NSE. The index traded lower by 0.09% at 3275 level. State Bank of India, Syndicate Bank and Canara Bank are acting as the major draggers in the index.
State Bank is trading low by 0.29% at Rs 270.70 per share, Syndicate Bank slipped lower by 0.07% at Rs 69.65 per share.On the contrary, Andhra Bank is the top index gainer trading higher by 1.87% at Rs 59.85 per share. The S&P BSE Sensex is up170 points at 32,442, while Nifty is up by 72 points at 10,157. A total of 124 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 20 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
