Nifty is trading choppy during the afternoon hours. Nifty’s stiff resistance may be placed at 9,900 while on the downside, 9,800 acts as strong support. In the currency market, the rupee depreciated further by 0.32% to 65.64 per US Dollar.Newly listed, ICICI Lombard has moved higher by more than 4% at Rs 677.6 per share after having a tepid debut. The stock attracted 2,72,92,756 shares in traded volume and Rs 1814.36 crore on NSE.
Nifty Realty index is top gainer on NSE trading higher by 0.63% at 273.2 level. Indiabulls Real Estate is top gainer in the index trading higher by 3.66% at Rs 218.1 per share. The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 31,417 down by 182 points, while Nifty is trading at 9,823 down by 48 points. A total of 17 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 21 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE. There are 677 advances, 899 declines and 383 unchanged stocks showing mixed sentiments in the market.
