Nfty is back near day’s low in the afternoon hours. The index is trading below the 9,850 mark. HDFC twins and ITC are the biggest contributors to the Nifty losses. Bank Nifty index is trading lower by 1.22% at 24,072 level. Canara Bank is top loser in the index trading lower by 2.55% at Rs 317.7 per share.
There are 219 advances, 1,434 declines and 324 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting that the market is continued to remain in negative bias. The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 31,690 down by 214 points, while Nifty is trading at 9,844 down by 119 points. A total of 18 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 53 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
