Nifty is trading in a narrow range in the first trading half. BSE Power index is the top losing among sectoral indices. BHEL is top loser in the index trading at Rs 133.45 per share, down by 2.87%. CG Power, PTC, Power Grid, Adani Power and Thermax are also trading in negative territory, down by more than 1%.There are 603 advances, 1,007 declines and 352 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting strong negative undertone in the market.
ONGC, Bharti Infratel, Infosys, Coal India and Bharti Airtel are among the gainers, whereas Power Grid, Sun Pharma, Vedanta, Tata Power and Cipla are losing sheen on NSE. The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 32,177 down 64 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 10,057 down 29 points. A total of 48 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 20 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
