Nifty touched its day’s high of 9,891 level, up by 19 points and is trading flat at 9,872 level. Bank stocks pulled up the major indices in the market from their day’s low.Bank Nifty index is trading higher by 52 points at 24,217 level. Axis Bank secures the top position in the index trading higher by Rs 13 per share or 2.65% at Rs 515 per share.
There are 1,113 advances, 545 declines and 308 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting that the bulls are trying to take charge on D Street. The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 31,621 down by 5 points, while Nifty is trading at 9,881 up by 8 points. A total of 14 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 36 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE. The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up by 0.57% at 15,520, while BSE Small-cap Index is trading marginally up by 1.12% at 16,141.
