Nifty has slipped below the low points of the past two days viz. 9,816 and 9,813. The index touched intraday low of 9,783 level. Bank Nifty index is trading lower by 1.03% at 23,948 level in the afternoon hours.Bank Nifty, Nifty Metal, Nifty Pharma, Nifty PSU Bank and Nifty Private Bank are trading lower by more than 1% among the sectoral indices on NSE.
The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 31,377 down by 222 points, while Nifty is trading at 9,803 down by 67 points. A total of 18 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 23 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE. There are 495 advances, 1,111 declines and 355 unchanged stocks showing mixed sentiments in the market. Tech Mahindra, Ambuja Cement, Bharti Infratel, TCS and IOC are among the gainers, whereas Sun Pharma, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Adani Ports, Hindustan Unilever and Reliance Industries are losing sheen in the Nifty50 index.
