Nifty continues to trade near its day’s low during the morning trade. Only Nifty Metal and Nifty Realty index are trading in positive territory. Nifty Metal index is trading at 3,498, up by 1.41% while Nifty Realty index is trading up by 1.27% at 267.15 level. Vedanta is top gainer, trading higher by 2.46% at Rs 314.35 per share. MOIL is the second top gainer trading at Rs 394.7 per share, up by 2.27%. Other metal stocks including Tata Steel, JSW Steel, Hindustan Zinc and Jindal Steel are trading higher by more than 1%.
There are 837 advances, 778 declines and 350 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting that the bulls are trying to take charge on D Street. In the foreign exchange market, Indian rupee is trading at its day’s low of 65.33 per US Dollar. The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 31,491 down by 135 points, while Nifty is trading at 9,831 down by 41 points. A total of 9 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 32 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
