HDFC twins and ITC are the biggest contributors to the Nifty losses.Nifty index is trading lower by 1.27% at 24,060 level. Federal Bank is top loser in the index trading lower by 2.55% at Rs 110.95 per share.
There are 204 advances, 1,459 declines and 314 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting that the market is continued to remain in negative bias.The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 31,690 down by 214 points, while Nifty is trading at 9,844 down by 119 points. A total of 18 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 56 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
